Johan is a Senior Chartered Accountant and provided audit, accounting and advisory services to private clients. As strategic adviser to the group, he attends to business decisions and also interfaces with clients. He has decades of experience as a Business Advisor, was the Managing and Senior partner of Grant Thornton Pretoria and SNG Grant Thornton for nearly 30 years and served on a number of global committees and workgroups of Grant Thornton International including the Privately Held Business Committee. He was a global and local founding member of the firm’s charitable initiatives and as member of the global International Business Centre, co-ordinated global work flows to and from Africa.

He also served as a director of a few public companies, was a trustee of a prestigious medical aid for many years and was a Councillor of one of the Largest residential Universities in South Africa. He served as the chair of numerous audit committees and was a committee of one to determine the fair allocation of RDP funds to the Department of Correctional services and was recognised for that task by the new Democratic government in 1994.

His passion remains to assist clients to navigate business complexities affecting them, their families and businesses. The aim is to assist them and investors to achieve acceptable growth in their businesses and on their investments and eventually a sustainable retirement assured that the highest level of internal controls, over and above those stringent compliance requirements of the regulator, are maintained. Johan has been associated with Investhouse since 2014 and has attended several offshore investment conferences locally and abroad.
